Iterations

Story begins here ...

Version 1, 2022-02-14

Our original plan was using Lego parts to achieve removable modulus. We did not even have a case to cover the sensor and microcontrollor.

We also considered a watch strap design to provide stronger fiixation brtween the wrist band and the wrist.

Version 2, 2022-02-26

We made our first wrist band case using 3D printer (resin). However, the thin wall thickness led to a curved body.

Also, the length of the wrist band case was too big. The wearing experience was bad.

Version 3 & 4, 2022-02-28

Our cases for the sensor on the glove were 3D printed using PLA and resin. PLA was rigid, but the printer was lack of accuracy. As a result, some small details of the base was not created. Resin was too soft, but the printer had extremely high accuracy.

As a result, we combined the PLA top and a resin base to make a perfect pair.

Version 5,6,7,8, 2022-03-7

We tried to fix the cases onto the gloves by Velcro, magnets, creating a pocket, Lego and superglue.

They were also the first batch of products that we conducted user testing

Version 9,10,11, 2022-03-23

Based on the feedback, we improved our design. The case for the sensor on the glove was fixed by magnets. The wristband had two options: strap or magnets.

We also designed a base for the wrist band. The smooth surface allowed a better fixation and easier alignment.
